Edie Bates,  P.Eng., MBA, PMP, CCP

Edie Bates has built her entire 28 year career at Enbridge, advancing through a broad spectrum of technical and leadership roles spanning engineering, project management, construction, controls, safety and reliability, and supply chain. She currently serves as the Director of Facilities and Asset Integrity Programs, where she leads a team of technical experts focused on ensuring the safety and reliability of Enbridge’s extensive Liquids Pipeline system. Edie holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Alberta, along with professional designations as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Cost Professional (CCP).

 

A dedicated mentor and advocate for future leaders, Edie chaired Enbridge’s FEMINEN (Females in Engineering) employee resource group and the United Way campaign. She also volunteers with organizations such as Women in APEGA, WISEST, 1000Women4STEM at NorQuest College, and the APEGA Science Olympics. Outside of work, Edie enjoys spending time in nature—running, hiking, skiing, canoeing, and backcountry camping—and traveling with her husband and their two teenage daughters.
