Dr. Tracy Hillier is a radiologist who is committed to developing a curriculum that discusses health disparities that exist between Indigenous communities and non-indigenous communities. Dr. Hillier's diverse life experiences such as providing medical care in Haiti and serving in the Canadian Armed Forces emphasized her commitment to diversity and inclusivity of various ethnic groups, leading her to be a recipient of a University of Alberta, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Award in 2016.

As Canada's first female indigenous psychiatrist, Dr. Nel Wieman works for the First Nations Health authority in BC as Senior Medical Officer, Mental Health and Wellness. She has been recognized for her career achievement in the category of medicine, allowing her to hold the title of Indspire Award Laureate. Dr. Wieman has worked in a variety of programs such as Aboriginal Services Unit, being the Faculty Advisor to the Indigenous Health Sciences office at McMaster University and by serving as President of the Indigenous Physicians Associations in Canada

Dr. Joanne Lemieux has done avid research on membrane proteins involved in various diseases. Dr. Lemieux is a biochemist at the University of Alberta who is currently conducting testing of coronavirus protease inhibitors. Her research is essential as it can lead to new drugs and vaccines that not only affect coronavirus but also Parkinson's disease, breast cancer, and parasitic invasion. In her research. functional and structural processing is used to observe how proteases regulate various functions.
