Join us January 22nd, 2016 for an elegant evening of food & entertainment, featuring acclaimed TEDx speaker and recipient of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award, keynote speaker Zoe Yujnovich.

ABOUT ZOE YUJNOVICH

Food Anchor

Zoe Yujnovich joined Shell in 2014 with over twenty years’ experience in the mining industry. She began her Shell career as Vice President Oil Sands Joint Venture, and effective January 1, 2016, Zoe will assume the role of Heavy Oil Executive Vice President leading the business which includes the Albian Sands mining facilities, the Scotford Upgrader and Insitu operations. 

Zoe’s career began in Australia with front line work in a number of mining roles. Zoe joined Rio Tinto in 1998 and from there held a number of notable positions across the world. In 2008 Zoe moved to Brazil to head Rio Tinto Brazil as company President. Two years later she moved to Canada as President and CEO of the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) in Montreal.

 

In 2013 Zoe was appointed Chair of the Mining Association of Canada – the first female chair in its 79 year history.

 

Born in Hong Kong, but having grown up in Australia, Zoe holds an engineering degree from the University of Western Australia as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and an Executive MBA from the University of Utah.

 

Zoe and her husband Jason both actively compete in marathons and triathlons, and together they have three children Zachary, Jessica and Chelsea.
