UA-WiSE proudly presents the 3rd Annual Black Tie Affair on January 20th, 2017 in Dinwoodie Lounge in the University of Alberta Students' Union Building. Join us for an elegant evening of dinner, live entertainment and much more!

This year, we will be featuring Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner Helen Wesley, ENMAX Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

 

This will be an amazing evening focusing on broadening your career path and weaving diversity into your workplace. Come ready to get engaged in discussion as Helen shares her over 20 years of financial and senior leadership experience in the international oil & gas industry!

She has over 20 years of experience in the international oil and gas industry. Most recently, she was a member of Spencer Stuart's Global Energy Practice. Prior thereto, she was the Executive Vice-President, Corporate Services for Talisman Energy Inc., as well as Vice-President and Treasurer for Suncor Energy Inc. where she served in a variety of senior strategic and operational leadership positions. Ms. Wesley earned her Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing degree from the University of Calgary in 1991, and her Master of Business Administration in International Business from Boston’s Bentley College in 1993. She also received her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1998. Helen also serves on the Board of Care Canada.

Can we buy tickets at Infolink?
Early bird tickets are only available on Ticketfly at ticketf.ly/2fhRsUC. Regular priced tickets will be available both on Ticketfly AND Infolink (CAB, SUB, Admin) starting January 9th, 2017.

 

Are men allowed to attend the event?
All our programs and events, including the Black Tie Affair, are inclusive to all genders, so everyone is invited! The keynote speech will tackle building a track record and stepping into the professional world which is applicable to everyone! 

 

Is this event only for Science and Engineering students?
This event is open to students from all faculties as well as interested individuals that are not students. 

 

When will the Early Bird Ticket pricing ends?
Early bird ticket pricing will end on Sunday January 8th. However, we encourage everyone to purchase tickets as soon as possible because we expect it to be another sold-out event!
